GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Coffee & Cakes Amsterdam & Tanger
(Version: 2025 – Updated for worldwide coffee bean shipping)

1. Definitions

  • Company / We / Us: Coffee & Cakes Amsterdam & Tanger, including its operations in the Netherlands and Morocco.

  • Customer / You: Any individual or business purchasing products from our Shopify webshop.

  • Products: Packaged coffee beans and filter coffee sold in different bag sizes.

  • Website: The Shopify webstore operated by Coffee & Cakes Amsterdam & Tanger.

2. Applicability

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made on our Shopify webshop, including worldwide shipments.

3. Products & Availability

  • We offer roasted coffee beans and filter coffee in multiple bag formats.

  • Product availability may vary depending on stock and roasting schedules.

  • We reserve the right to update or discontinue products at any time.

4. Ordering Process

  • Orders must be placed through our Shopify webshop.

  • After payment, you will receive an automatic order confirmation.

  • If an order cannot be fulfilled due to stock issues, we will contact you and offer an alternative or a refund.

5. Prices & Payments

  • Prices are displayed in EUR or MAD depending on region.

  • Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Payments are securely processed via Shopify’s payment partners (e.g., credit card, PayPal, local payment methods).

  • International customers are responsible for local customs duties, import taxes, or extra charges.

6. Shipping & Delivery

6.1 Shipping Regions

We ship worldwide, unless shipping restrictions apply in specific countries.

6.2 Processing Time

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

  • Roasted coffee is shipped fresh; processing time may vary depending on roasting batches.

6.3 Shipping Carriers

We use reliable carriers such as DHL, PostNL, Amana, or other international partners depending on the destination.

6.4 Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times:

  • Europe: 3–7 business days

  • Middle East & North Africa: 5–10 business days

  • Rest of world: 7–20 business days

6.5 Customs

  • International shipments may be subject to customs inspections.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by customs.

  • The customer is responsible for all import duties or customs fees.

7. Returns & Refunds

Because coffee is a fresh food product, we follow strict return policies:

  • Returns are only accepted if the product is unopened, unused, and in original packaging.

  • Customers must contact us within 14 days of receiving their order.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Refunds are issued only after the returned product has been inspected.

  • We do not refund shipping costs.

  • If a product arrives damaged, customers must send photo evidence within 48 hours.

8. Quality & Storage

  • Coffee beans should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

  • Once opened, freshness may decline; we are not responsible for changes in taste after opening.

9. Liability

Coffee & Cakes Amsterdam & Tanger is not liable for:

  • delayed shipments caused by carriers or customs

  • damage resulting from improper storage

  • additional customs or import fees imposed by the customer’s country

  • taste preferences or subjective dissatisfaction after opening

Liability is limited to the order value.

10. Intellectual Property

All branding, product names, images, and digital materials on our website are owned by Coffee & Cakes Amsterdam & Tanger and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Governing Law

  • Orders placed from Amsterdam are governed by Dutch law.

  • Orders placed from Tanger are governed by Moroccan law.

  • Disputes will be handled by the competent court in the corresponding jurisdiction.
